“Undeniable Truth” — U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2023

For the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum’s 30th anniversary, we were asked to conceptualize a social campaign that would reaffirm the reality of the Holocaust in the face of rising denial. We created “Undeniable Truth” — a powerful digital initiative that leveraged the museum’s vast archive of artifacts, photographs, and survivor testimony to confront misinformation head-on. The campaign used irrefutable evidence to educate, honor victims, and ensure history could not be erased. The social campaign was recognized with a Webby Award, People’s Voice.

“Grow with Us” — Amazon Fresh, 2025

Amazon Fresh enlisted our team to craft a recruitment campaign that would highlight the unique benefits of working there. I led concepting and storytelling development, creating narrative frameworks that centered on real employee voices. Drawing on my journalism background, I conducted on-site interviews, helped oversee the docu-style shoot, and wrote scripts that brought authenticity and clarity to each story. By showcasing genuine experiences and a supportive work environment, we connected with job seekers looking for meaningful, reliable employment.

“Bank on the Best” — First Hawaiian Bank, 2023

First Hawaiian Bank asked us to make sure everyone knew they were the best bank for new homeowners, local business owners, and, well, all Hawaii residents. As the lead writer, I developed a tone of voice rooted in “aspirational realism” — motivational messaging grounded in real-life financial journeys. Drawing on the bank’s storied heritage and diverse customer base, I crafted copy for three television spots that blended warmth with poetic tough love, helping the brand speak to potential bank clients with clarity, empathy, and some serious swagger.

“Firmer, Smoother Skin is Waiting!” — Nivea, 2025

Nivea asked us to transform European spots for the United States to promote their Skin Firming Lotion with Q10. We reimagined the existing campaign with new talent, and a body-positive, empowering tone to modernize their message, while staying true to their legacy of trusted skincare.

Host Newsletter — Airbnb, 2019

For Airbnb’s monthly Host Newsletter, I strategized, curated, and created compelling copy to engage over 2 million hosts worldwide. My work helped drive a 2–3% increase in product adoption by translating complex features into clear, actionable content. I helped strengthen the host community by developing educational storytelling frameworks, identifying key opportunities to deepen host loyalty, building relationships with hosts, and collaborating across email, blog, newsletter, and community channels.

Broadcast Journalism Experience — NBC News, 2013-2021

From almost a decade, I worked as a reporter and producer for NBC News O&O stations and affiliates in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, and San Luis Obispo, where I told impactful, community-driven stories across platforms. I wrote, shot, edited, and presented daily news segments live on-air, while also emceeing events and shaping social content strategy.

  • In Seattle, where I was nominated for an EMMY Award for Best Reporter, I created “Timber Town 911,” a series exploring innovations to revitalize struggling mill towns.

  • In the Bay Area, my coverage of a Make-A-Wish burglary helped recover stolen items for terminally ill children.

  • In San Luis Obispo, I won multiple team EMMY Awards for coverage of the Refugio Oil Spill and an individual EMMY Award for Best Reporter for my three-part investigative series on homeless college students, which sparked policy discussions, helped homeless students access stable housing, and drove a 500% increase in online engagement.

Magazine Journalism Experience — 2003-2012

As a journalist and editor, I produced and reported print and video stories across major national and international publications including The McClatchy Company, National Geographic, UPI, The Daily Caller, and Asia Tatler. I broke national news with a Bloomberg-scooped investigative feature on congressional earmarks, and wrote in-depth business stories on nonprofits, campaign finance, and CEO pay. At National Geographic, I created iPad videos on “de-extinction” for the April 2013 issue. As Features Editor at Asia Tatler, I led production of an 808-page issue while writing and editing more than a dozen features in a single month. My early editorial work at ELLE, PEOPLE, and Time Inc. laid the foundation for a career grounded in strong storytelling and sharp editorial instincts.

Editorial Style Guide — Frontier Internet, 2024

I led the editorial strategy for “Guidelines for Frontier Writers,” guiding the entire process from pitch to execution. I showcased the value of editorial standards, working closely with clients to gain buy-in and ensure alignment with their goals. My ability to advocate for best practices allowed me to drive seamless, high-quality public-facing work across their company.
